LOCAL JEWELER PROVES POOR ECONOMY NO MATCH FOR STYLE, QUALITY PRODUCT

NightRider Jewelry Expanding Valley Presence with Grand Opening at Scottsdale Fashion Square

SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA, JAN. 30, 2012 - You’ve seen the designs on Hollywood heavyweights and rock and roll icons like Johnny Depp, Alice Cooper and Kenny Chesney – but patrons need not play to sold out arenas or headline one of the most successful movie franchises of all time to own their own piece of stunningly handcrafted, 100 percent American-made jewelry.

NightRider Jewelry, the brainchild of high-end jewelry expert and artisan George Ganem and Nick and Thad Ballantyne, has opened its first Arizona location at Scottsdale Fashion Square, and the company’s rampant success in recent months is demonstrative of the fact that even a weak economy can’t keep the masses from wanting their own piece of exquisitely crafted, 100 percent handmade wearable art.

With an emphasis on crosses, skulls and other silver crafted pieces, the company that has long been a favorite of the motorcycle crowd has experienced an upsurge in recent years in business from clients from all walks of life. Everyone from the biker culture to Hollywood’s elite has been clamoring for NightRider’s exquisite pieces, and even Vanity Fair  highlighted a NightRider design on their November, 2011 cover, worn by none other than Captain Jack Sparrow himself, a.k.a  Johnny Depp.

“Our customers appreciate the fact that we make all of our products ourselves right here in the Valley, with no outsourcing whatsoever,” said head designer Nick Ballantyne, of NightRider’s exponential growth at a time when so many are being forced to cut back on nonessentials. “Our careful craftsmanship ensures that our pieces hold their value, and that’s a major part of why so many of our customers have come back in time and time again.”

Most of NightRider’s products range in price from about $300 - $3,000. The newest location at Scottsdale Fashion Square will celebrate its grand opening from 6:30 – 8:30 pm Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, and jewelry aficionados Valley-wide are encouraged to come and enjoy appetizers and cocktails and see why everyone from Hollywood’s A-List to the kings and queens of the open road can’t get enough of the Tempe-based jeweler extraordinaire.
